Hi! i have been using Rainmeter for the past year and a half, i downloaded Xwidget out of curiosity and found it SOOO POWERFUL AND SO MUCH EASIER TO USE!! AND TAKES A LOT LESS RESOURCES!

Anyways i got sadly surprised wen i couldn't find a help guide, a "how to" guide, a tutorial ... nothing, the only video tutorials i found here are just 2 , and none of them work (YouTube videos removed).. how can this be? o.O)' such an excellent program with not even a help guide? such a shame.. im i missing something? :?

Yes, it is true, there is no help manual yet. Those who use it are autodidacts;) (and addicts to this program)
The program is so EXCELLENT AND POWERFUL that is well worth the cost!
Someday it will, hopefully, before the end of the Mayan world ... ;)
Anyway, just try, is not so hard! :)

Hey Armando, i found a chinese forum with loads of tutorials and a help guide! i suspect the software must be Chinese..hehe, anyways google translate is useful but the best are the video tutorials! .. i have a couple questions if you dont mind

1- can a widget be started from an other widget? calling one from another?
2- can a widget be included in an other widget? like createing widgets separately and afterwards join them together using some kind of < import > or < include > command.

here is an example of what i mean, i created the tabs board and then i create the skins that can be called (opened) or just included inside the tab with an
"@include= XX" command , the job of making & manipulating many skins (like 40) gets simplified wen you can create them separately

thats it for now! thanks in advance :)

You can put them all in one widget. I made one example.

Hi qiancang :)

thanks for the example! was very useful!

But anyways my concern is working with dozens of skins inside one single module becomes a nightmare, at least a hundred measures, images, parsers etc without being able to hide what i dont need at the moment may be a very unpleasing task, thats why i wanted to know if skins can be incorporated some way with XWidget "calling" them from an external source

here is an other example:

if i had to build all that in a single skin i would have gaven up long ago..

this becomes a more practical way of handling many modules with sub-modules that also have sub-modules

hey qiancang, thanks for that example, but this doesn't show "nested" skins, they r just standard separated skins, i haven't seen anything like i described previously, is this not possible with xwidget?
