Hello c: I am new to this software and I found it awesome, Im just trying it, but I have tried some widgets programs before, however I am having just one problem with it that is, whenever I press ALT + F4, it closses D: How can I make it not to do that, this command I always use it to close a lot of things so I accidentally press it a lot, or to turn off the computer, plus I have another widget that doesnt close when ALT + F4 is pressed, so, is there any way, if not, is there any way to make it possible. Thank you very much c: |

Hello Dirky Wechsler. Please try to use the XWidget's "Options" (right click on icon tray) and see if can use an option from there. Also the ALT-F4 is the known command for close the open windows ONLY! I recently discovered that you can even close a widget with it, but if you use this feature better change the combination! Rarely use this command for the windows so I had no problem with XWidget..Maybe the Developer can disable this in the next version... Please add the same post to "Bugs & Feature Suggestions" section.. It will be usefull..! ![]() After you add a widget on your desktop you can remove the widgets with right click on it->close or when the widget's bar is open (when you double click on the icon tray) press the "X". |

Thank you for you answer jimking, I have tried all the options in the program and different configurations and widgets still close when ALT F4 is pressed. I will copy this post in the section you suggested me. |

I will copy this post in the section you suggested me. If you want to use it, why not try to change the combination/configuaration of the Windows? I don't know exactly the way because I never had to do this, but I'm sure that through Control panel can find the way.. |

Sorry! ![]() So, or you have to not use the ALT-F4 command, that sincerely is not a big deal, or try to not click on any widget and then press the combination (easy enough I think) or wait for the Developer to disable it in the next version/s...! |

Yes, I can survive (: I just have to be careful, I hope it gets solved someday, it makes the turn off by alt f4 not available, also when you close a lot of stuff fastly at a time, but its oks, I love this software anyway, thanks (: |

***To disable ALT-F4, you need to disable your operating system and change it to something else.*** (Kidding) There's no way that can be done within Xwidget or even by code. Even it is not easily possible in C or any other language. ALT-F4 is the windows combination of sending a CLOSE message to the app. It can be rejected in code (in widget not in JS) but that will make closing by right click impossible. So I don't expect this to be fixed in any near future, |
