Phone: ONE PLUS 5T 8/128 Android 9.0.4 1. After Clear Instalation or update from Google Play and set widget to the screen i set 3 hot spots. Clock, Accuweather and Calendar. Clock and Accuweather add normal, Calendar afert add, widget not reaction, nothing. If turn off and turn on the phone, widget not displayed THE PROBLEM IS CAUSING ADDING TO THE "CALENDAR GOOGLE" HOTSPOT APPLICATION Currently, I have not set up a hotspot for Calendar. If I turn the phone off and on, the widget appears normally on the screen. However, when updating the weather [randomly, not immediately but after an hour or two] hangs completely. Menu and clock stop working. 2. In menu on Widget App text is black on black background 3. In version 1.94, the distance from the edge of the screen is lower than in 1.96 1.94 Attachment: 1.96 Attachment: 4. When adding a widget to the screen in the case of 4x2, not only the row of icons below is added from the top. It is also added as 4x4 instead of 4x2 I do not have it as shown in the picture 5. The whole adding of widgets is broken, the sizes do not coincide with the reality For example, 5x1 corresponds to 4x2 4x2 corresponds to 4x4 Something Tony broke down. That is why it is probably wrong point 3 of this list of errors I am forced to return to 1.94 until these errors are fixed. |

Thanks Slavoo for the reports. Unfortunately I don't have a phone with 9.0 to replicate these errors, because I tried the last version to Android 4.4, 6.0/0.1, and 7.0 and works fine. The only thing that I hate on Android is that very often new OS versions come out and many apps are broken because of this. That's why I didn't update my S7 Edge to Pie and I kept Nougat. |

Since I have Android 9.0.4, at the moment I am forced to use the XWidget version 1.94 which works. The only problem is showing up from time to time for a moment of 1.jpg while updating the weather. It's hard. I am staying at 1.94 and I will not update anymore 1.96 problem with hotspots, after the phone reset the widget does not show up. Tony wrote that I should add XWidget to autostart, unfortunately I do not know how to do it. All XWidget permits have been granted. 1.96 on Android 9.0 it just does not work |

Unfortunately Playstore doesn't allow us to rollback to older version since it force all the apps to have SDK 26+ to update them on Playstore. Tony tries to install Android 9.0 to his phone and check these issues |

I can not talk to Tony. He sent me the instructions: how to solution this problem: 1. clearing the app's data and re-installing it. 2. give promissions to xwidget in phone setting 3. allow xwidget auto start in phone setting I wrote: NOT WORKING 3. allow xwidget auto start in phone setting There is no dry option on Android 9 There is no dry thing as autostart control |

I do not quite understand why Tony quickly added the new version to the store without testing, which does not work on Android 9 At the moment, people have a lot of new phones with this version of Android. We collect more and more negative comments Manually assigning permissions in XWidget is strange. All the applications that I use at the moment are running on Android 9 and they give themselves rights, they also start. Manually granting permissions is not a problem, but there is NO such thing as adding to autostart! There is no option on Android 9 Perhaps she was in Nugat, Oreo The only last version running on Android 9 is version 1.94, which has a small error with 1.jpg appearing briefly while updating the weather. Well, I have to say goodbye to new versions of XWidget and stay at 1.94 which works except for this small bug with 1.jpg |

All permits for XWidget in Android 9 in my phone: - No optimalization battery - Background data ON - Location ON - Telephone ON - RAM ON Task killer not close XWidget and info from OnePlus forum: "Oxygen and Android 9 don't give you choice to shut/start the apps from/for autostart " |

The fact is Tony didn't have (like me) Android Pie on his phone, so he thought that the app works ok for all. He ported the new version to a new SDK but, yes he actually should wait to be sure before upload any version on PS. I'm waiting for his reply.. |

v1.94 A little strange thing. When adding a hotspot [calendar google] as the second, after adding the flash 1.jpg and refresh the weather and you can add another hotspot v1.97 When adding a [google calendar] hotspot, the widget locks completely. The clock and the whole widget stop And I do not understand why the 1.94 widget is wider than in 1.97 |

Quote: 1. Please fix bug with 1.jpg flash during weather update Ok known.. Quote: 2. Please fix bug with hotspot It's really curious that happens only with google calendar! If there was a bug with the hotspots then it should happens with all of them. There is no sense that the hotspot freezes with one app. Test phone's calendar app for example. Something is happening with the google app itself (maybe the app doesn't allow new permissions or the same app has changed the permissions and you can't interact more with other apps) Maybe a compatibility issue with it(?) Quote: 3. Please fix bug with width of the widget As I told you (reply by Tony to me after your report) this is not a bug. It's because of the new SDK built. Now that the app passed to Android Studio though, I will ask if this can be edited. If it's unchangeable, there is no other way, then live with it. But it's not a bug.. Thanks for testing! Wait for more replies after I talk to Tony.. ![]() |

Jimking Check the addition of the 4x2 widget version 1.94 and compare the addition in version 1.97 You'll see the difference where the widget is located |

Slavoo wrote: Jimking Check the addition of the 4x2 widget version 1.94 and compare the addition in version 1.97 You'll see the difference where the widget is located I know Slavoo. Even Tony noticed that! But he told me that depends on the new SDK26 that changed that automatically. Now I repeat, if Android Studio allows to change the values for the empty left/right space, then Tony will fix it. If not, we can't do more... |

V 1.97 Free There is still a problem with Hot spot. The situation is solved by turning the phone off and on. The widget is smaller. Before adding the widget, disable battery optimization, add permissions manually. |

Slavoo wrote: Unfortunately, the widget does not react after one hour of use. Time 14:48 on the 14:42 widget and does not respond. I uninstalled and returned to 1.94 Here is what I wrote you to your inbox: Quote: You have to remove XWidget from all the battery saving options of your phone Slavoo and allow autostart! If you don't do it XWidget will stop working. It's not XWidget's fault.
The last Android versions and especially 9.0 has changed and has more agressive power saving background options to save battery when the screen is switched off. You need to check that. For the hotspot I repeat. There is no sense if happens to one particular app. If there was a bug, none of the hotspots/apps should work, fact that does not happening. As I repeat something is happening with the Google calendar app and its permissions. Try any other calendar app and you will see that it will work fine. So again, it's not XWidget. I'm telling you this because the last 1.97 free and pro have been tested to phones with Android 4.0.3, 4.4.4, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0 and 9.0 and doing all the above the app works fine! No freezes, no fcs, working hotspots. I strongly suggest you to check deeper, because I repeat after Android 7.0 the OS system has been changed a lot. |

1. There is no such thing in Android 9.X.X as an option to add / subtract something from Autostart. All applications are automatically added to autostart. Show me where to do it. 2. XWidget in my phone not optimalization battery, permission for data in the background. Manually added all other permits. However, it hangs. 3. I will check hot spots again In 1.94 there is something that when I add a calendar hotspot, for a moment there is flash 1.jpg, the weather is refreshing and the widget works on. At 1.97, it stops working here. |

upgrade: 3. It does not matter what I add to the hotspot in the place of the calendar. This hot spot does not work, in another widget too. I do not know what is wrong with this hotspot, it is the same as the other two. Just after adding anything to this hotspot, XWidget freezes [clock, weather, all]. In version 1.94 everything works. I will emphasize once again: In 1.94 there is something that when I add a calendar hotspot, for a moment there is flash 1.jpg, the weather is refreshing and the widget works on. At 1.97, it stops working here. |

Other applications add permissions themselves. In XWidget you have to manually add ??? Manually, you also have to add "viewing over other applications - allowed" Maybe XWidget is not automatically added to autostart? Apparently you have to do it in the application itself and not force the user who often has no idea to manually add an option that he DOES NOT |
