This is expected - the site and the product is being banned based on its poor reputation. This was caused by Tony allowing that malware into the installation executable. I tried to warn him on numerous occasions over two years but he would not listen... The result is that all browsers and a/v engines will start to ban this site and the traffic to Xwidgets will die. The product is being killed off and no-one is doing anything about it. Tony needs to allow all of us to sort this and the starting point is open the software for scrutiny and to allow others to participate in the code and in the management of the site. If I was managing this site I would check it for any malware, flag it as being clean on the front page and give everyone the reassurance that Xwidgets is not malware. I keep saying that Xwidgets is dying and until these structural problems are sorted Xwidgets will die. None of us can do anything about it whilst Xwidgets remains closed source. Please, please put your name to my request to get Tony to open source his 'baby'. [EDITED by author] If the exe itself is now being flagged as being compromised then the only solution is to open the code for impartial analysis. It could mean that the code, the actual widget engine contains malware or it could be a false positive - without checking the code no-one can really know. |

Please add your response to my plea to Tony on the forum. If we can all persuade him then perhaps the engine has a future. At the moment there must be very few users of the engine and the number will be declining rapidly. |

Reported the installation exe as a false positive to then NANO a/v engine: here: http://www.nanoav.ru/index.php?option=c ... 83&lang=en Tried to report it at F-Prot but their reporting system is broken: http://support.f-prot.com/index.php?/Ti ... nfirmation Tried to report it to Cyren but they have no way of reporting without installing their a/v tool. |

Thank you yereverluvinuncleber, I had report it at F-PORT and get replay with fixed. But how to report/submit to AVG? |
