Hello, the weather core seems to be broken. I cannot search for citys any more, weather isn't updated any more. Hope there is a fix soon. |

I'm having the same problem as well. Everything else works fine, but for some reason none of the weather widgets are updating. |

I noticed there is a file in the xwidget/cache folder named "AccuWeatherCore_ASICNCH006GUANZHOU" which appears to be the default settings for the weather widgets. I also noticed another file in the same folder titles similarly, except it ends with the users zip code. When I renamed the zip code version to the default version, the widget changes and shows the correct weather info. This seems to me that whatever it is that tells the widget which file to use is not working correctly, and the widget is stuck on the default file regardless of user settings. Not sure how to correct this as I'm not completely familiar with how it all works, but hopefully this small bit of troubleshooting helps point the more knowledgeable towards the right direction. EDIT Nevermind. That only worked temporarily. It has already defaulted back to the Guanzhou information and won't respond to any changes. |

Try with another widget first. If that doesn't help then, edit the settings.ini in settings folder. In section named "accuweathercore" there is a section called zipecode. However you will need to search the ACW code for your city on Google or somewhere. |

Hi, Same problem here. My weather widget uses the AccWeatherCore core and no longer displays my location correctly or any weather information. I've tried deleting and re-adding AccWeatherCore, but this has made no difference. The widget is stuck at the loading phase. No weather data is fetched. I'm in the UK. I'm running XWidget on Windows 8.1 Pro. Who 'owns' the AccWeatherCore code? Perhaps it needs revisiting? Glyn. |
