Does Xwidget uses hardware accelerated graphics? I mean does it use something like DirectX to render widgets (it seems like that)? If not then, can you devs consider that?? It will be a huge performance improvement, especially in widgets using lots of animation effects. Most of todays systems come with really powerful GPUs and hardware accelerated rendering will definitely reduce load on CPU. |

Hi digigamer, XWidget used hardware accelerated in some functions, but not all.etc: 3D filp widget from front to back side. and XWidget most widget are 2D, not full 3D. DirectX will take huge memory ,and it is good with 3D,not best with 2D. |

Well, favoring GDI is not good at all, may be we should shift to D2D at least, it's faster and uses less memory. |

Yes,I am working on XWidget2.0 which will add full D2D and Direct3D hardware acceleration . digigamer wrote: Well, favoring GDI is not good at all, may be we should shift to D2D at least, it's faster and uses less memory.
