Xwidget does not work in the background [off screen, unused phone]. Xwidget launches only when the screen is turned on.

I think that you are a bit confused about how an Android app should work Slavoo.
I remind you that a good app have to work like this to save battery..! Apps that work in the background even with screen turned off are BAD. Even the last versions of Android put the apps to sleep to earn battery life. XWidget consumes only 1% of the battery life so it's great!
After the last update 1.1.1 weather and clocks work perfectly! So I don't understand your point..
Now if you notice a little delay sometimes of a half second to load the widget when you turn your screen on after hours of inactivity I don't think that it's so important.
(Maybe Tony can optimize further the loading code)
But remember that the same app works a bit better in some phones than others. There are so many phones out there with different capabilities and ram management and Android versions that it's impossible to have the same result for all! It's normal Slavoo..........

XWidget is not work in the background when offscreen, because it need save power ,but when you on screen , XWidget weather core will check and update if the time in over the interval time.
this is a feature not bug.

That's bad. XWidget should work in the background. The amount of energy taken is very small.

Then the clock and weather would be refreshed without a problem.
Interval should be counted independently, and I have the impression that it is counted since the last turn on the screen.
I do not know exactly, I did not write code.

I know one, update interval not working.
Tested for 5 minutes, refreshes after 30 minutes.
Accuweather refreshes the weather every 10 minutes so if I have set every 5 minutes it should refresh well anyway.
Manual refresh works well. I have already written about this in a collective subject with errors.

For example:
After unlock my telephone and screen, My time is 16:43 - Last update XWidget weather is 16:05 !
It's bad!
If i refresh manualy - last update change to 16:38 !

QUESTION - WHY?
