| Post subject: | Weather updating even with no active network |
This is a really bizarre issue and one that is starting to frustrate me as I can't for the life of me work out what's going on! At night I turn off my wifi and mobile data as I don't want any notifications from various apps throughout the night. The weather widget I'm using says, for example, "Clear night, 3 degrees". When I wake up in the morning I look at my phone to turn on the wifi and before I have done, I see that the weather app has updated as it says, example, "Cloudy, 5 degrees". I turn on my wifi and update the weather and it is the correct weather. How can this widget update without any network connection? I don't know enough about android to try and problem solve this issue so any ideas would be great! TIA (btw, apart from this issue, really love xwidget!) |

But how a function like the current weather that works and updates ONLY with an internet connection wifi or gps/internet data can work without it?! There is NO weather widget on Android or pc that works without internet, with one way or another!  It's not like a clock or a battery widget that works using the phone/system's data. |
