I have two Feature Requests for Android:
- I turn off Wifi (and also Mobile Data) overnight on my devices (to save battery). So when I first open my devices in the morning Wifi has not yet reconnected (because I haven't turned it on yet), but XWidget will have already tried to update the weather data when I opened my device, and then I don't think it will try again until whatever I have set it to (eg, 1 hour). I propose that the accweathercore1 automatically refresh it's data if Wifi or Mobile Data is connected with ~3 minutes of the last Weather Update attempt. Ideally XWidget would automatically recognize that Wifi (or Mobile Data) has connected and the immediately refresh it's data (so as to minimize waiting). You could possibly make this a setting the User could modify as well (for those that want to tweak the timing), though that seems less of a priority/necessity to me. There might be better ways to think about this, but the above is how I'm conceptualizing it at the moment.
- It might not be a bad idea to add a User option to "Only Update Weather over Wifi". The weather data is probably pretty small, so this setting is probably not that important. But some might appreciate it anyway.
