Image

Weather widget with 4 0 beautiful real images/photos for the weather conditions.

Right click for:
- Update Weather
- Change Location
- Change temp unit

ALL THE IMAGES ARE COLLECTED AND OPTIMIZED BY ME.

EDITED the file extension on an image in case that there was a incompatibility for the tag/code.

nice HD widget

just there is a problem:
41.jpg is named incorrectly 41.jpeg

and just i found another:
pictures are named to 44, but it has 40images,
so it doesn't have 9,10,27,28
edit: just i found that they're null, so this one is not problem

The wth images/numbers must be like this man!
Check:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2689

For the image 41, has same file type format .jpeg. I checked again.. All the images are edited with ACDSee so I'm sure.
For this file type the tag must be "folder name/${curSimpleWeatherIcon}.jpg" and the program recognize all the images. :)
Trust me! ;)

the extension for image 41 is wrong:
it's .jpeg
it should be .jpg

if you don't have file extension in your explorer:

>in windows you can go to:
tools>folder options>view>uncheck [hide extension for known file types]

>or use a file manager or tool that shows extensions (like: winrar , 7zip)

I know what do you mean... But here is a screenshot to see that all the images have the same file extension:
Image

If there was an incompatibility between tag and the file extension of the images, the images will not work at all.

From my experience of making widgets I think that XWidget recognize .jpeg and .jpg as the same file.
I always use this method for ALL my wth widgets.

first of all: some definitions:
-extension: related to naming
-format: related to file structure
-file type: related to description of file and program associated with it

in your picture:
it just view the file type (some info about file and associated program)
you can view all images because .jpg and .jpeg are same format (jpeg format)

but xwidget can't access the file that have .jpeg extension but linked .jpg in coreformat
(wth\${curWeatherIconNum}.jpg)
this will request a file with .jpg but that file is .jpeg

you should:
1. enable file extension in your explorer to see the difference (or use a tool similar)
2. and rename the .jpeg to .jpg to fix the problem

Sorry man but you will blow my mind!

I used (every time I do the same thing) this tag
wth\${curWeatherIconNum}.jpg

In my pic you see that all the images are in .jpeg file format, right?
As you wrote:

So??? Since are the same format XWidget recognizes BOTH!

I made a test renaming the tag to wth\${curWeatherIconNum}.jpeg and all the images are work the same way!
If there is a bug it should work only the one image with the "wrong" file format!

All the widgets that I made and all the weather widgets from others who use .jpg images use this tag!

Suggestion:
I would rather narrow to the 19 provided by ${currentWeatherIcon} or ${currentSimpleWeatherIcon}... The 44 icons are mostly duplicate of each other... Inflating the file size

I know it DG(!) but since the file size was under 10Mb I preferred to have more variety for the weather conditions.
I used the "simple" tag for the "Sexy Edition".
