My next steampunk widget will be the steampunk clock / calendar. Working on it now adapting my old Yahoo widget and improving it as I go. When the code is up to scratch I will pull it into the Xwidget engine and start converting the code.

Instructions are here so you can see what it will do under the Xwidget engine:

If you can re-upload the second image with dark background it will be better. The white txt is very difficult to read..
These steampunks widgets are great but maybe too complicated with all these functions on a small design...

It exists already and is very successful (tens of thousands downloaded) and dare I say it almost useful, the new version will also be resizable. To see it functioning you'd need to run it. The Xwidget version will be the same as the YWE! version. No new functionality will be added.

The second image above is merely a taster - you can see it more clearly on the page link I supplied.

With regard to it being complicated - you must realise that is the whole point! It is designed to be explored, tinkered with, eccentric design not ergonomic in any way whatsoever. Many would simply hate it but who cares? It is designed for a certain type of person who likes pulling cranks operating switches and levers. No harm can be done in doing so, so go for it!

The old version is here: http://lightquick.co.uk/jdownloads/steampunk-clock-calendar-yahoo-widget.html?Itemid=264
- should you wish to try it out.

I have no doubts that is a complicated and unique widget.. Is just my opinion, and of course we will be glad to have it for XWidget! :)

Just finished the Yahoo widget version, revamped some graphics and added new functionality - final debugging and then I begin to convert to Xwidget.

Won't look much different to the original, the changes are subtle. Looking forward to creating the Xwidget version as I'd like to attempt to create an android widget too.

Need some advice, my last android sh1theap died a death, looking to buy another, anyone have any recommendations with personal experience. I need to buy one soon for testing purposes.
